Independence Day Weekend

Hello all! I am currently interning in New York City at NBC Universal. Feel free to read about some of my interesting experiences as a homegrown southern girl in this fast-paced city!

This is the first time that I didn’t spend the Fourth of July with my family back in the big city of Wagener, SC. Just the other day, I was thinking about what I was missing back home, one being my dad’s garden. This is the first year that I will go without my dad’s organic goodies such as sweet corn and watermelon that I could have whenever I pleased.
